Today’s date: ‘all the twos’!
2 be or not 2 be… Shakespeare:
To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The heart-ache…
Hamlet’s musing… life’s meaning, pain and misery… the option of death, suicide… the fearful uncertainty of what comes after death.
Musing… I choose ‘to be’…intentionally – whatever that ‘being’ brings.
2 see or not 2 see…Boris Johnson, yesterday: “the keenest pair of eyes in the crows’ nest…” talking about the surveillance programme to detect new coronavirus variants.
Yesterday I talked to Bill about his beliefs as a practicing pagan and freemason… I talked to Katie about her very sick husband in hospital…
Musing… I choose to see… seeking the ‘keenest pair of eyes’ to see truth with openness, personal needs with compassion.
2 live or not 2 live… Jesus: ‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full…’ more than the ‘to be’ of existence… it’s a high quality life of richness, meaning and depth.
Amanda Gorman, in ‘The Hill We Climb’: For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.
Musing… I choose to live, continually seeking to discover and live the full Jesus-life… to see his light and be his light.
2 leave or not 2 leave… Jamal Edwards: We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will. …(posted in 2012)
Edwards died on Sunday aged 31. He was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his work in music…
Musing… tributes paid to friends and family who have died recently… the legacy that I shall leave… becoming the Biblical picture of ‘gold refined by fire’…
