
Yesterday morning:
Remember Well: …Chatting with Jack about good people, good memories. Sometimes my memories just focus on the bad stuff… the need to remember well.
Let Go Well: We talked about restrictions brought by age and infirmity. Things we used to do but can’t do now… I can live with regret, focus on my inadequacies. Sometimes I must let go – and let go well.

Yesterday afternoon:
Choose Well: …Talking with Dennis about appointing a youth leader at church – how we make the appointment, the qualities and gifts needed, the timing… In life’s decisions, big and small, needing to choose well.
Grieve Well: …Seeing David and Sally walking without their dog Billy. I learnt that Billy had died last week. They really miss him. We remembered Billy with sadness and warmth… Grieve well.
Leave Well: …Considering Grandson-Luca’s last week at Primary School. He’s looking forward to next week’s transition week at High School. There have been end of year celebrations… Leave well

Yesterday evening:
Wait Well: …Reading Psalm 130 with a group of friends… focusing on ‘I wait for the Lord…’ We talked about how difficult it is to be patient… I’m still learning to wait well.
Forgive Well: We discussed bad stuff that has happened in our past. Life changing events, that we can’t change, that have left scars. It’s not just about ‘forgive’, but forgive well.
Disagree Well: The discussion continued… including Labour’s plans for legislation regarding gender identity. We didn’t agree with each other…

This Morning:
…Reading, ‘How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.’ Unity means that we disagree well.
Encourage Well: …Reading, ‘And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…’ We’re to encourage well.
Go Well: Remembering the old hymn:
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul... Go well.

We’re both dealing with challenging health issues so we’re especially aware of letting go well. Our true home is heaven, our north star.

You’re right, Nancy.. God’s way is to do well whatever situation we find ourselves. I think it’s also about learning to be my best self consistently whatever life throws at me…
