Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
Oh, raise your head for Love is passing by
Come to Jesus, come to Jesus and live
Now your burden’s lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain
So, sing to Jesus, sing to Jesus and live
And like a newborn baby
Don’t be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk sometimes we fall
So, fall on Jesus, fall on Jesus and live
Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain
Then cry to Jesus, cry to Jesus and live
Oh and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can’t contain your joy inside
Then dance for Jesus, Dance for Jesus and live
With your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory’s side
And fly to Jesus, lfy to Jesus and live

I first heard this Chris Rice Song last Sunday. I’ve been singing it all week. I love its simplicity. Whatever situation I’m in, I intentionally involve Jesus…
This morning I read the Jesus’ story of ‘The Good Samaritan’. A man was beaten and robbed on his 17-mile journey from Jerusalem to Jericho. He’s ignored by two religious men, but helped by a compassionate Samaritan, who attends to his needs, takes him on his donkey to an inn…
Identifying with these characters… Sometimes I can be like the:
- Robbers – deliberately destructive, wrecking the lives of others.
- Traveller – wounded, helpless, disabled by my circumstances.
- Religious men – preoccupied by my own business, failing to attend to the needs of others
- Samaritan – attentive, caring, giving myself to help those in need
- Donkey – serving, bearing others’ burdens
- Innkeeper – unmentioned, just getting on with my job
- Traveller – healed, restored, grateful for the help of others
Today, however I am, whatever I’m doing… coming, singing, falling, crying, dancing, flying… I intentionally involve Jesus – and live.

Amen. I am involving Jesus in my journey to healing.

Thanks. I find the constant challenge for me is the continuing intentional involvement in everything… That’s so ‘right’ when I get it right.
