I read this in my Bible this morning. My version talked about being ‘naked and exposed before God’s eyes’…
Several friends have spent time in hospital recently. To have the necessary surgery or treatment, their physical condition must be ‘naked and exposed’ to the doctors. Others are having regular meetings with their counsellors. Past traumas and present anxieties are revealed as mentally they are ‘naked and exposed’.
I scraped the ice from the car’s windscreen this morning. It was woolly hat and gloves weather. I walked along the beach; the usual group of folk were having their daily swim…
A well-wrapped-up lady passed me with her dogs. ‘Rather them than me,’ I said. ‘I’m not sure if they’re brave or foolish.’
‘Definitely foolish,’ she replied with conviction.
I’ve chatted to several folks recently about the benefits of choosing to be not quite naked, but certainly exposed – for a significant period of time… this morning in freezing temperatures…
The official blurb about the ‘Harry and Meghan’ Netflix documentary says: ‘With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.’
Commendable intentions…
It was our Men’s shed Christmas dinner last night… In discussion some saw Harry and Meghan as scheming and destructive; others as victims of a powerful institution…
There seem to be similarly different versions of truth in the current legal proceedings against ex-president Trump… In both stories truth needs to be naked and exposed…
And me…? Musing… Physically naked and exposed I’m not a pretty sight (trust me!)… But I seek the honesty, integrity and transparency that sees me ‘naked and exposed’ in words, actions and character before my friends and family, in the community, and before my God.

I’ve never even caught myself naked in the shower, but that’s because I do not look down. The closest I come to exposed is when I’m wearing a cloak of sarcasm. Nope. Don’t reveal much here. But I’m not a private person either.

Thanks… I guess part of my motivation for writing this post is that in the past I have been private and kept myself hidden… I don’t think that saying ‘That’s the way I am’ Is helpful to me or others; I recognise that I need to improve on my nakedness and exposure… (!!)

I will never have the guts to do that. However, when it comes to social media monitoring what I do online and the FBI watching my library card, no problem.
